Default road king air shocks

I have a 2006 Sportster1200Low and have a friend who took off his Road King air shocks. I have heard that they will fit on a Sporty. My question is this, will they just bolt on with no mods on my 1200L and if so will I notice much of a difference in height and ride on the bike? Thanks for your input.

Use the search feature. There is all kinds of literature on this.

Default rk shocks...

Just put them on my 07 roadster it didn't change a thing as far as height but the ride is soooo much better - it may raise a lows rear end by 1/2 or an inch - and you will notice the crappy front end now...as already stated...

That high rear end can be fixed with a lowering kit. 2in. preferably on the Sporty Low.

dont forget the washers needed for spacing on chain guard side or should i say belt guard side.

2 washers upper and lower

and when you get washers please look at them closely for thickness differance.

Default thickness of the washers make a difference...

I went with 2 up top and 3 on bottom on both sides. Figured do both sides same to keep everything even. 2 on bottom and the rubber on the shock was resting on belt gaurd - 3 and there was daylight.

The washers I used were about the same exact thickness as the ones already on the stock shocks, just slightly larger round..hope this helps.
