Just wondering if anybody has ever completely worn the bolts out inside their starter solenoid. I got stuck about 110 miles from home saturday, because the solenoid would engage, but it wouldn't kick the starter motor over. Took the solenoid cover off, and one of the bolt's contact areas had a deep groove cut in it where the copper washer makes contact! I had to punch a hole in the solenoid cover and stick a pencil through it to get it started again. lol Anybody know if they make a solenoid rebuild kit?

 

any advice for a cheap solenoid fix?
