1000 Mile Maintenance Info
Just got my bike back today for its 1000 maintenance. Total cost was $186.35. I asked about the popping, farting and missing. I was told the popping and farting when its warming up is normal for a bike with a choke. The colder the air temp the longer it will take to warm up. Hence more popping and farting and possible stalls at an inopportune time. They did not have an answer for the missing or jerk I feel at high speeds.

Have you done a Stage One? That is carb rejet, high flow A/C and less restrictive exhasuts. You will find most of your popping and farting will dissappear and your high speed problems might even be resolved too.....
They are right about the cold weather warm up....It will take a few mins to get it all warmed and smoothed out...It's all part of running a carb....

I have not done a Stage One. My only plan this year is to switch the stock exhaust for the Vance & Hines Straightshots HS slip-on.
I forgot to mention in my original post that I spoke to the tech that worked on my bike. He said the only thing he found wrong with the bike was that the idle was set too low. Idles much better now.
