Default choke cable part number????

Need to replace the choke cable(STOCK CARB) on my 2005 XL 883 C but ım havıng dıffıcultıes on fındıng the rıght part number , dealer says they have ıt on backorder but ıts been nearly 2 months . I am really sıck of holdıng the choke tıll bıke heats up [:@]so ıf ı can fınd out the PN ıll try to order ıt on ınternet .

Right behind your choke lever (button) is a plastic part that looks like a thick washer with knurled edges (like a coin). That is your tension adjustor. Rightly tightly, leftly loosely. You don't even need a tool. Just use your fingers and save the cost of a cable.

thanks for the answer but ı know that , dıd ıt allready , doesnt work anymore , needs to be replaced .....

get a hold of barnett, im not sure of the number, do a web search. all you need to do is measure your old one in a couple places, they;ll make you one and you;ll have it in a short amount of time.

Im having the same problem....Tighting it worked for a day but thats it....Is this not covered under warranty?

Does anyone have a link to a free online step by step DIY manual. Right now I need to replace the Choke cable on a 2004 Sport 1200c
