Default High Beam in the Trees!

My 09 Sporty headlight is aimed right on low beam. But when I hit high it is so high that it don't even hit the road. I can see it in the trees ahead of me. Any way to adjust the high beam without affecting the low? Or is the bulb defective?

If the high beam is too high, then so is the low beam. there is only one bulb in the headlight housing.
To adjust your light, the bike needs to be on a level surface 25 feet from a wall. With you sitting on the bike, the center of the beam thats shining on the wall should be35 inches from the ground.

Read your owners manual for instructions on how to move the beam up/down and lrft/right.

This should have been done at the dealership as a part of the setup.

The high-beam is a little different than a car's.

Rather than a focused low-beam, it is cast over a broader (wider, higher) area, almost a hemispherical one, almost.

I'm waiting for it to get darker outside. Then I'll follow the steps mentioned above.

I would have looked at my manual but I am at work until tomorrow AM and do not have it with me.

Sure seems like my Low Beam is good though.

On my 08 Sporty my head light lights up the inside of peoples cars at night and I can see my head light in their rear view mirror, I figure thats just about right.
