the trick is to tap the bit into the screw with a hammer before useing the impact....but I bet you already do that
lol - yep - and sometimes tapping the screw does the trick all by its lonesome...

call me paranoid i guess, but it can work fine if carefully done i s'pose!

No one has mentioned this trick, I used this several times in my gunsmithing: Use a phillips screw driver that FITS, tap it into the screw head GENTLY with a light plastic hammer to obtain full contact seating, take the screw driver out and coat the tip with very fine valve grinding compound, then go back to double handed normal extraction. Push the screw driver in and apply torque at the same time. Usually works. ................. BC

I replaced mine with the m4 14 allen head. never stuck again. good luck getting the screws out though.
