Default easiest way out to install baffles

my V&H shortshots are already installed on my bike...do i really have to remove the pipes completely off my bike to install the quiet baffles?

I installed my quiet baffles without taking the pipes off. Just loosen the heat shield clamps enough to slide the heat shields back a little. You will see an allen head bolt on the back of each pipe which holds in the baffle. Remove the bolt and the baffles should slide out. Might be a little tough to get out if they have been in for a while.
