Default Sportster for a tall guy

I am considering an older 1200 sportster. My regular bike is '09 Roadglide but I get the urge now and again to ride something lighter.

At 6'2" and 200# how will the bike set up for me. It would only be for short rides and might replace the Roadglide at Daytona bike week.

thanks

I'm 6'2 and love my sporty roadster. I have the stock seat currently and mid controls. Its still comfortable. However I rode a fwd control bike nad its far more comfortable and I cant wait till I get my fwds.

I'm 6' and 190 #'s, you are 2" taller but as said, with the forwards you should be plenty comfy.

or get one with mids and put on the adjustable highway pegs. They worked for me and I'm 6'1

I think you should be fine. Since you are looking for a fun light ride and obviously know that it probably wont be as comfortable as your roadglide. Anyway, I'm 6'4" and I have forwards. I feel pretty good. I have changed out the seat though.

Default Tall guys on Sportsters

I'm 6'2 190lbs with a 34" inseam and the 1200c feels like it was made for me. Very comfortable riding position. Ya just can't beat a quick, agile Sporty.

Glad to hear so many tall guys (6'4" and 210 here) like the Sportster. I currently have a 2010 FLTRX, upgraded from a Heritage, and love it. Thinking of getting the wife a Sportster, but I am a little greedy and want to make sure I can enjoy it too. Glad for the thread.

2006 XL-883 Roadster. Sundowner, mid controls. 6'1 230 lbs. Gonna upgrade the shocks at some point. Mid controls are superior when it comes to the twisties. Get some highway pegs when you need a highway stretch.
