Default Jockey shift idea's......Gimme some...

i am planning on doing a jockey shift and foot clutch.
looking for ideas on brands/price. handles.

i am going to have to cut my pipes and re-weld new bends on them. because now i will have to have my right leg down all the time (instead of my left like now) and the exhaust will have to be bent away from my leg now.
my idea on handles is either a dummy grenade (pineapple, round, or 30MM) or maybe a large bullet. would have to be larger than a .50 cal.

let me know your ideas please. i appreciate your input in advance. thanks.

P.s. my mind is made up on the conversion so for those who don't like them, don't bother trying to talk me out of it. thanks for reading though.

good for you! i always wanted to do that! i was going to simply have a bar clamp onto the shifter shaft directly, then just route the clutch cable and lever to the bar.

I ran with a guy last week that had that same set up on a somewhat beat up softie. I dug the homemade vibe of it.

I rocked a Coors Light beer tap for a while. I would've left it if I didn't ride the bike so much...long, curvy gravel driveways at my house and the shop were a *****.

Here are a few options. http://www.ragerbuiltchoppers.com/shiftkit.htm
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/%2791...QQcmdZViewItem

http://www.steelthundercc.com/shift_...y_control.html

Do it up. Wish I could do this to the wife's sportster but she would not ever ride it then.

the owner at the shop i go to suggested the Labroila kit. i definetly want to fab it so its one of a kind.
does anyone know if its possible to make the Neutral gear all the way down on a sportster, ive heard of it being done on BT's. that would have to make it easier.
still looking for a grenade or bullet or something cool as hell to shift with.

How about an old piston? I had one as a shifter in one of my cars years ago polished it and smoothed the edges looked cool but Im sure it has been done before. Im a helicopter pilot so I always thought about the grip from the cyclic stick would make a cool shifter. An 8 ball would be cool too again not too original but still cool. I se that you are from Philly, I grew up right outside of the city and used to cruise front street back in the day.

The cyclic stick grip looks like a pistol grip with a trigger.
