Default new bags

I was wandering around a harley dealership at lunch today and figured out, I think, that HD stands for "hundred dollars." I walked around a display and the parts guy was setting up a discount table and he was sliding under the table a box with saddlebags inside. Regular list price for the bags, I had seen these before and knew I would never buy them, $649.00. I asked the guy what they were going to sell them for and he said; "for you, $250.00" These are fixed mount rigid back bags...man I could not buy them fast enough. Just a bit excited so I thought I would share a pic...don't recall if I resized first...but here ya go.

Damn, that looks good! I was going to just get a set of throw-overs, but wow, those just look perfect on the bike. I'll have to see if I can find me a deal like that somewhere!

You wouldn't happen to know the model number/name of those bags, by any chance?

Those are Harley Davidson bags. Stock Nr: 90598-04

I bought the 90342-04. To me they looked a little more proportional to the bike but the ones you see above are larger and carry more. Nice bags. One h*ll of a price considering I paid retail for mine,

That was a steal! Congrats. Were they brand new bags or used?

Also, do you have pics of them at different angles?

Dealer tells me they are now a discontinued bag so you might be able to find a set. They look great on the bike I think but were an absolute pain to install. Frame went on fine but the mounting bolts from bag to support frame sucked. One additional pic.

The Harley part number on those bags is: 90598-04. The retail price is $649.00 plus you have to consider the directional relocation kit. I'm not sure of that price but somewhere around $40.00.

Well it looks like you got the scoop on the bags, part number, retail price etc. As I said they are a discontinued bag since they don't have a quick release buckle so you might be able to beat the price. The pipes are V&H sideshots.....great sound and they are designed with an "X" chamber that acts like a two into one extractor....good performance.

I just picked up a set of those bags used. Any tips on mounting them? Can I move the signals to the rear hole on the struts or do I need that extension piece? / relocation kit? And how do you mouint them with the shock? thanks
