Default scratched/dulled windshield

Hi everyone,
I just bought a used quick-release windshield for my 09 nightster. I bought it real cheap because the previous owner was told by someone to use auto-headlamp cleaner/polisher and when he did it scratched/dulled the center of it.

I bought it with the hopes that I might be able to fix the windshield or at a minimum replace the lexan only which I hope would be cheaper than buying a new windshield (I paid $75).

Anyone know what I might try to fixt this?

Thanks

There are all kinds of good plastic polishes on the market, I haven't used any for a long time, the last time I used one it was made by Meguires and it work fine, just go to the local parts store and buy the most expensive one, follow the instructions, if it doesn't work, buy a ClearView windshield with recurve to replace it and it will be better in every way.

The Lexan windshields have a protective coating on them. Once you use an abrasive polish/cleaner on them, they are toast. Your only real fix is to buy a replacement piece of Lexan.

Memphis Shades sells replacement Lexan than will bolt right up the the HD windshield framework.

+1 on the Plexus, if that don't work, use it on the new one, good stuff. Ride safe.
