Default ran low on gas

Have any of y'all ever ran so low on gas that when you leaned to make curve in the road your scooter could not get any to the engine until you straightened back up. I did once on my 1200 Sportster. I filled up at the next station and all has been well since.

I assume you have the 4.5 gallon tank. How much fuel did it take when you got it to the gas station?

I have ran mine completely out of gas. Got on a road in Ohio, light came on and didnt find any gas station for over 50 miles. Never hurt anything. gassed it up, ran fine. and yes i have been that low also. I tend to push my luck at times.

haha, i got stuck in indiana on my way down to arizona, had to push the bike almost a mile up the road and sleep at the station until morning when it opened up. i woke up to the owner with a shotgun pointed at me asking what the hell i was doing there. I thought it was obvious....

I have the 3.3 gal tank. It took about 2.5 gal. I usually get 115 to 120 miles on 2.5 gal.

When you lean or come to a stop and the engine coughs, its time to gas up.
