I can think of one reason, and one reason only that sporty's are considered girls bikes. Pure ignorance!

Maybe two, to compensate for something they're lacking elsewhere.

Oh and to the OP, if motor size is what you're worried about and money is tight then stay away from getting a different motorcycle.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BIG-B...=p4506.c0.m245 They have them in silver too.

A stock 1200 sportster will eat a stock street bobs lunch through the 1/4 mile look up some 1/4 mile et's for both .

And a stock KR1200 will give a V-Rod a run for the money.

But the Buell 12X Uly will eat both alive in 1/4 and top end.

Do not buy a bike for anything other than it's look appeals to you and the ride and handling is to your liking.

I think they are a good looking bike right out the box and can look really sick with the right mods. Looks like a bigger sporty.

I want to thank everyone for the input. After careful consideration, I think i am going to roll with the Street Bob. I talked to the salesperson and they are willing to work out a nice deal on it.

I ll keep guys posted if I get this bike this Fridays.

Thanks again,

LOL - I went from an 2005 XLC883 Sporty to my Bob. Loved both, the the Bob is what I have always wanted and suits me better. I've notices a LOT of Sporty guys that have gotten Street Bobs

Good choice!!!

The Street Bob has a greater lean angle than a 1200C so what's your point?
