Rubbing it in!? You are correct. I don't get to see any of those beautiful bikes. Sad. It's more blacked out than the Iron!

I know of one guy here in the states that added the forks, shocks and rotors to his 09 XR and is raving about the improved ride. One of the local shops says they wouldn't be surprised to see the X introduced here in about 6 months.

The cost of the suspension kit alone equals the probable price difference between the standard & the X. Add install price (if done by a shop) or at least the time involved in doing the swap and it'll hopefully be a wash.

The main draw back to the XR in my eyes is that it sounds like a sewing machine and I just don't like any of the aftermarket pipes available for it now. To my eyes the mufflers are too big on all of them. The Remus look the best but there have been issues with cracks at the lower forward mounts and headpipes, at least with the first edition systems.

Having said that I would snap up the X in a NY minute if it was available here now.

Default Improvements more than stock

We have been improving these bikes much more (night to day) than available from the MOCO. We make complete inverted forks & trees, Ohlins Road & Track forks that drop in the stock 09 XR1200 trees, and complete Ohlins/motorcyclemetal forks & trees. We are addressing the crappy 5 1/2+" trail with our trees down to a much faster 4". Trees went on a diet using billet material.

We also add a single cartridge system which is fully adjustable and has been rigorously tested side by side with all other offerings using professional riders and Ohlins track side support on a leased track. Dropping them into your fork will set you back less than a $1000.

Those forks are available either as a drop in into your 09 XR1200 or we already have brand new complete forks with either triple tree system for immediate delivery, like today. These complete fork systems will fit directly on either Dyna's or Sportsters. Give me your bare neck on your frame and it will fit.

As far as rear shocks, we have been supporting the XR1200 with either a 360mm or a raised 420 (+10) mm seperated & adjustable shock.

There is no comparison between the adjustable brand new MOCO suspension and ANY of the offerings listed above.

These systems are for those who wish real world improvement and not for those who wish to pose in front of the bar for photos. We prove our equipment every weekend at the track to be the best in the world, bar none! Look at our results as well as our offerings right here for your Harley. Read the results from our members.

PS the Supertrapp system works pretty good also.

Really hoping they bring the XR1200X to the states as a mid year intro. By then I should have the Dyna OI'm rebuilding done and I'll grab one. Have taken numerous test rides on the XR1200's after PDI'ing 'em and they are a blast to ride.
