Waxing a Nightster
Just curious since i have never owned anything with the flat paint... do you fellow flatties out there wax your nightsters?

never. the flat paint will get glossy. the owners manuel says to just wax the shiney stuff. i usually just wipe it down with windex and a microfiber

i guess its just the o.c.d. in me... it always looks good but i feel like washing then drying cant be the only step to a well maintained paint job...

The demin paint is supposed to get "weathered" It was designed to do that. It is supposed to make it different with character.

I wax mine alot. I don't think it's any shinier than it was when it was stock. Darker if anything. A friend of mine has a denim burgundy Night train and he waxes his all of the time with the same results. You can see the metal flake better...but def. not shiney.

mreed thanks, i think ill try it under my seat and see... i dig the flake in my green and i would love it to pop a little more
