i just bought an '05 883. from the time i rode it home, the engine has a noticeablt "tick". It's not a knock, but a light ticking that becomes un-noticedable at an idle. This my first H-D, want to know if it's normal. Please help. Recent oil change with HD 20/50, no change. thanks.

more than likely it's just the normal valve tick, nothing to worry about. If your bike has a windshield or if you have stock exhaust it's even more noticable. The next most likely possibility would be an exhaust leak. So if in doubt, take it back to the dealer and have them check it out, since you just got the bike, i'm sure they'll take a look at it for no charge. But from the sounds of things, it's just normal.

The only thing better than what you just said is your avatar.
