SE II Slip-On's & SE High Flow AirCleaner Installted, now carb needs adjusting
The pipes went on last week and I just now got the AirCleaner swapped out. Took only about 30 minutes to install and was pretty simple.
But I can tell it needs a carb adjustment (or re-jetting) now. With just the SE II's installed, I really didn't notice much difference in the tuning, but now with the addition of the high flow air cleaner, I am getting an occasional but slight, back fire instead of the normal carb fart's when I rev it up and let off. It even died on me once after a back-fire.
Off to the dealer this week for my 1k service (minus the oil and tran changes I did myself) and I'll have them tune or re-jet. Surely this will not be more than 1 hour labor for the carb work???

You definitely need a rejet now. Mcuh more air is flowing with the new A/C and pipes. Some would caution you not to ride the bike with the current set up for fear of damaging the engine due to the very lean condition.
As far as the cost to re-jet, I would imagine an hour should cover it. There are a lot of good posts on that subject in the DIY area.

You won't harm the bike as the lean condition is in the low to midrange circuits. Your high speed circuit is not lean and that is where the harm can come. You, as you well know, have driveability problems. Let the dealer tune your carb and you will see a huge difference.
