I had this chopped honda back in the mid 70's with no fender. I rode it all the time to my job and high school. When it rained that water would go straight up from the tire and smack me in the face. Not sure I could handle much of that all the way to Sturgis. Tough price to pay just to look badass.

i heard there can be a little sway , not sure how much the fender can hold everything in place.
i have a fork brace that keeps the forks, braced.

there is NO way a fender helps front end wobble. it easily bends with your hands. anyways original question i would run the fender there and take it off. its only 4 bolts. I NEVER run a front fender but I will as of Saturday as im riding from Alaska to Oklahoma...

I haven't had a front fender in years, just get used to a small mud baths and having to eat small rocks/sand once in a while and you will be fine!!

probably a dumb question but do you just tie the bandana around the front forks? Anyone have pics?

I have mine nice and fat to catch the stream. i let it slightly rub the fender when its wet out. doest stop everything but its bearable...

Split the difference and Bob the fender. I took mine off but didn't like the looks of the empty mounting holes so I customized the fender first by drilling out the rivets and rolling it back. Then after awhile I decided that wasn't cool looking enough so I cut it down like so.
