Default Installing slip on SE

OK just got a set of SE slip ons for a good price from ebay. Can anybody tell me how i might get them on myself or is it just better to take them to the shop. I dont want to mess up my warrenty here so that is the key

They're not difficult to put on, but if you're worried about warranty, better take it to the shop.

All you need to do is loosen the header bolts and the mounting bolts/clamps from the mufflers then slide and/or twist them off. Slide on the new ones and reverse the process.

Of course it you're running an EFI bike, you'll have to do a remap or maybe a rejet on a carbed model.

I hope you got SEIIs...you may be disappointed with the new ones...hope not...oh yes..they are very easy to install if you are the least bit mechanically inclined...

I have the new SE's on my bike and I don't like them much, but they were on the bike when I got it. They did not sounds all that great so I drilled a few new holes in the baffels and enlarged some of the holes that was there already and it sounds better, but still not the sound or look i'm going for. As for the install it's not hard.

Thanks for the info, Talked to my dealer he said with the SE Slip ons for my bike i dont have to remap. The slip ons are made to be just that.
