883c bars to 883l bars

The dyna bars rock! It gives you that in between feel. Not low bars and not apes either. Depends on what you are going for. I was going for the comfortuable upright riding position, and thats exactly what they offered. I purchased the bars from the dealer @ 60 bucks. I extended the wiring about 4" using my own wiring and a soldering iron. Im not sure how the previous poster had to change all his cables, as I didn't change any except for brake line, and the dyna bars have about 4" more lift on them.
chrome riser. Also the stock Dyna FXD bars are a inch or two shorter then the stock XL 883L bars.

I have the "R" version, which uses 2" risers. Also, my bars are from a 95 wide glide, so they are a little different than the newer ones. They def. have more lift that the Low bars.

Well I put Low bars on my custom last night using the stock custom riser, the wires, throttle, and clutch cable all reached with a little help. The brake line reached as well with little rebending, but Im gonna get a longer one for sure.I love the look and feel of the bars ,I took a 300 mile ride today with mixed ,interstate, state hwy,in town and twisty riding and the bars felt great as well.I finally got to "kick back " while riding on the interstate,as I had a drag bar.Overall very pleased!!!!!!!

I changed from 1200C to 1200L bars and if you remove the gas tank there is extra wiring tied up under there and you will not have to extend your wires. Also as was already said you can straighten the brake line and save that expense. I done mine for the price of the bars and I also changed grips at the same time. Take your time and do it your self and save 500 dollars.
