Exclamation Anyone ever used these Fitch Fuel Catalysts?

Seems like Voodoo to me, but the local stealer is pushing the hell out of them
as a solution to the difficulty of finding 91 octane in backwoods New Mexico.

The HIGHEST octane fuel I could find in one town was 88 and I'm pretty sure
I was getting some pre-ignition on it.

Thanks !

I'd be more inclined to carry some cans of octane boost with me to add to the fuel.

He probably gets a free trip if he sells enough of it.

Rule #1, never ever believe a manufactures claims or their quote customer reviews. Always look for reputable independent product reviews (in this case those are hard to find).

Thanks, everyone.

So there's nothing I'm overlooking here, these are just the typical
get-some-thing-for-nothing rip-offs.

FWIW, I bought some off-the-shelf octane booster that I'll measure and add
as necessary.

the only stuff that WORKS, is Seafoam, and all it does is clean your engine and make it run the way it did when new, and keep it clean from the inside. all in all that isnt so special more like general maintenance than curing an engine problem.

this does not work

also, using a good oil can help mpg, but dont be fooled into thinking a cheaper oil will ruin your motor.

This is very good advice and I agree. The only thing i put in my gas tanks besides gas is Seafoam for the winter storage since it's like Stabil, but also cleans the injectors and top end.

Bought one for my ford pickup. didn't notice any difference at all. One thing I never tried was tuning my truck engine for max performance with mychip tuner(which would require 91 octane) and running regular 87 octane through it. I may test it to see if I get any engine knock. All said, I'd just get the octane booster when you fill up.

Thanks. To me it seemed like just another voodoo BS product, but I thought
I should ask just in case there really was something to the octane enhancement
claim.

I bought a bottle of Sta-Bil's 104 Octane Booster and a measuring cup that I
keep in a zip lock baggie in case I run into a problem finding 90 or 91 octane
gas. I'd never run into a station before that only had 88 octane so I may never
need to worry about it, but the boonies in New Mexico can get pretty wild
and I'll just carry that along for the hell of it.
