Default Lowering my sporty

I don't know if anyone can help, I want to lower the tail end of my sporty. I've seen some short rear shocks and thought that was all I needed, but have since seen a lowering kit on ebay.... does anyone know what this is and do I need it or is just replacing the rear shocks enough.

Thanks

Someone makes a kit that mounts to the shock mount on the swingarm that moves the lower shock mount holes back about 2 inches and this will lower the rear some without changing the shocks.

So just fitting shorter shocks/springs is enough?
