Default Question regarding drag bar install on a sporty...

I have some wild 1 drag bars to put on the wife's sporty here. I will eliminate the risers as they have the built in risers. They are pre drilled for internal wiring but I really do not want to wire them internally. They are not dimpled. Is there a way to mount them without wiring then internally if they are not dimpled? Or will the wiring not fit porperly on the outside without the dimpling? they are 1 1/4" bars that are stepped down to 1" for the grips. Thanks...

Alos, I have never mounted drag bars without risers. Do the bushing just fir inside the bottom portion of the bars? Thanks. I have serached and read a few posts but am still abit unclear on the anwer to this.

So i got out the manual and it appears that there is no crossover. I need to drain tank, turn the fuel vavle to off (carbed) pull the fuel line, disconnect the vapor line and disconnect the thank and pull it off. Next question is about the electrical connectors. Are they Deustch connectors on this bike? IF so I know how to deal with those, or at least I have disassembled and reassembled some in the past. Bike is a 2005.

It seems to me you need the dimple if you're going to use factory controls and external wires. Why not run them internal?

You need the dimple, my bars I have one now didn't have them, so I had to cut out sections on the bottom of my bars to make them work with stock controls/wires
