Put a set of CS slipons (slash down MXL-130SD) on order from Jireh's last week. Called to check up. They are on backorder until 1 June. I need them sooner than that. Anyone know another place I get get them for comparable pricing?

 

Actually, at this point I'm looking for anone who has the Slash Down mufflers.

Can anyone offer a comparison between sound of SE II slipons versus CS slipons? I can get SE II's. Just want to make sure they are similar sound quality and volume.

I have asked this question a lot and I have heard every time that the CS's are louder and throatier. As to sound "quality' or "betterness", dont know. If both were available at the counter, I would probably go with the CS's.

On a sidenote, Big City thundermonster baffles go right into the SE II's, so I would be curious to hear how they sound compared to CS's. So if you go with the SE II's, you can just get the thundermonsters if you wanted more volume.

I'm trying to get the wife CS slip-ons in slash down (cause that's what she wants). Jireh's is out of stock until at least 5 June.

I really like my CS slipons so wanted to stay with them. But SE II's are available today where CS are not. Leaning toward getting the SE's now - especially since they seem to be going away soon.

 

If you get the SEII's or CS's it doesn't matter because both of them are good mufflers. It depends which ones you like better. The CS's should be slightly louder.

 

My experience with Jireh's hasn't been that great. I order CS slip-ons on January 11 and by May they still hadn't arrived. During that time, I emailed them a countless amout of times, but they just kept postponing the shipdate. I got fed up with them, it wasn't worth the price for me.
