Default Bad Night

This doesn't really belong in this section, but this is the only section that I read, so I'm going to post it and rant for a bit.

Last night my friend (Hannah) from school was riding her bike from a friends house in the city (La Crosse, WI) to her home in the country. On the way home, a girl in a car ran a stop sign and hit Hannah on her bike. Hannah was thrown off her bike. Luckily, she was wearing full riding gear; helmet, long pants, jacket, and high shoes, only suffering road rash and a broken food (the arch part, which I bet hurts like a S.O.B.). The driver hadn't been drinking, she simply didn't take the time to stop at the sign and look. This girl almost killed my friend because she didn't want to waste the two seconds of stopping and looking.... grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr....................

Same thing happened to my friend last year. This happened at a stop light not a sign. this girl just ran the light because she was texting on her phone and driving. The sad part was my buddy didn't make it. Died from massive head injuries. He had a helmet on but some how it was knocked off his head. Give your friend my regards and tell her to make a speedy recovery and get back on that thing and ride.

Bad deal all the way around

We must all remain vigilant while out there on our machines, they are all out to get us.

I see people slide through stop signs all the time. People are so careless and rushed now a days. I hope Hannah recovers quickly and this doesn't scare her away from riding.

Sorry to hear bout your friend, but this is just another reminder that WE as bikers need to be better than the cages and never expect them to do the right thing. Learn to expect the unexpected and predict the future.

Hope she is ok and in good hands.

Sorry to hear that your friend is hurt. Sometimes this kind of thing can get to you mentally as well. If she needs to talk to someone this website might help.
