whats with all this popping?
I have an 08 nightser with v&h shot shots and a screaming eagle A/C. I just put on the pcIII. before i installed it i was just running the exhaust and i had significant popping on decel. I got the pcIII and the a/c and have it all installed but i still have the popping. I know that the short pipes will cause some but this seemed a lil much. Any one else have this problem or know of any suggestions.

You might be able to go to www.powercommander.com and find a map on there web site to take some of the popping out until you can have it put on the Dyno. It might take it completely out. They do have plenty of maps you can download. Also i think they have a map request form you can fill out and they might be able to get one that way.

i get a little decel pop on mine but only when cold, once it's hot it doesn't pop. dyno tune is gonna cost some loot. if you were popping before you installed the pcIII i agree with fireman, check your torque setting on the bolts. your mapping is fuked up, like crazy train said try powercommander.com or v&h's website and email tech support, they're customer service is excellent. let us know how you make out.

thanks for the suggestions guys. i dont understand how the popping has gotten worse now that i put on the pcIII and aircleaner. When i got the bike the only mod it had was the exhaust and there was minimal popping. so now i go out and get the stage 1 and now its like someone is shooting a gun off. im gonna try to get some answers tomorrow. i will update asap

When you put the air cleaner on it allowed it to breathe freer thereby giving it a leaner condition.
Was the MAP set for those pipes and that particular air cleaner? They all breathe different. If, say, you changed your pipes after getting the MAP straightened out you might have the same issue or something different. Rich perhaps.
I agree about calling tech support or talking with your local Indy about getting it adjusted right. You don't necessarily need a dyno tune if you have a good mechanic with the PCIII.
