Default iron: bassy rumble exhaust?

I'm looking for a way to give my iron that deep epic rumble that make it sounds like a german panzertank is coming. Ear bleeding loud ain't my goal, I just want that earthquake/thunderstorm rumble. I don't mind 2-2s or 2-1s and it has to fit mid controls. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Well, get some new slip-ons or a whole new exhaust. Go to a bike night or som'tin and have a listen to the various exhausts those people have to see which sound & styling you like best. A computer download of a video of an exhaust isn't going to give you the true sound of an exhaust.

I got Hooker Rebels from the manufacturer for $175 delivered. You can see the video with audio in the vid segment of this forum. I recorded it with my digital camera's limited video capabilities, but it still sounds good.

If you want rumble then you want a glass pack slip on muffler. I recomend Rush. They have lots of rumble to them. I had them on my bike before switching to the V&H sideshots. The Rush slip ons had way more bassy rumble.

Stay away from narrow pipe/muffler styles if you want rumble.

Only slip-on mufflers give that kind of rumble? I've heard good things about rinehart slip-ons and thunderheader, but that's a 2into1...

I have SE slip ons and it has a deep rumble at idle. You can feel it a little when you're near the bike.

If you want a deep rumble, but yet still fairly loud bark, go with thunder headers. Can't go wrong with them! Those guys make a good pipe. And has lots of power too!
