Default some small changes and touch ups, little build thread

got the primary off, gonna powder coat it black, got a chrome derby, and i'm gonna chrome my jockey shift
got the cam cover off, it wasn't easy and i didn't do it right but the cams never cam out and it is what it is. not choppin my current cam cover, i have one commin in the mail, gonna chop that up and have the powder coated too.
also got the tank off and a fender strut off to get touched up while she is down, should be up and runnin in 2 weeks or so.

and hear are some pics of my road rash from when i went down a month or so ago...
after i get everything together i'm thinkin about a road trip for a week or two, just me a tent, little air mattress (yeah thats right i aint doin it without a good nights rest with struts and not the best back in the world) might go wit ppl, might just go on a soul searchin trip.
O and my primary is shot (some striped parts and the accident did it in) if anyone has one they want to seel for an 04 let me know
anyway, some tear down pics....

GOD this was the biggest PITA to get off, i was soo happy when it "poped"

got the cam cover almost done today, got some cleanin up to do before i take it out to powder coat, its gonna be gloss black, gettin the points cover off was a PITA, i had to drill some holes, connect them with the sawzaw then break it off piece by piece untill just the stud was left, then i drilled real carfully down the middle and smashed a torx head into it and cranked it out...not the best idea but it worked
i still need a primary for an 04 if anyone either wants to sell one or trade me a perfectly good cam cover from an 08 nightster

i tried usin a sawzaw but it was just to sloppy, the hack saw worked much better

like i said, its not done yet, i need to smooth everything out the best i can and round off the edges, should look cool.

ok i think i finished it up today, sitting alone its not the coolest thing in the world but when i held it up to the bike i was pritty satisfied.

let me know what ya think...

cleaned up the top and the sides, didn't clean up the bottom, no one will see it and i didn't wanna take the chance of damaging were the gasket goes

so let me know what ya think? constructive criticizm welcome, i haven't taken it to the powder coaters yet
