Talking Just picked up my Nightster

This is my first Harley, and I couldn't be more excited! I'm coming from sport bikes (most recently a triumph speed triple).

I got it in the glossy black. What are some of the first things people do to these? I got the forward controls included in the deal because they felt much better. So that's one thing.

Well congrats and welcome! Probably pipe upgrade is on a lot of people's list, but the cool part is it is all on yOU! Whatever you do, get us some pictures soon.

Default Very Beautiful Bike!@

(same as mine!) Congrats on the great bike, I'm very pleased with mine, I hope you will be too.

You've come to the right place to find out all about your bike, and the options available to you now. Just be prepared to spend some money....

If I could offer a small, tiny, incy-wincy little bit of advice - ride it for a good few k's, of the type of riding that you'll do most, then make up your mind what you want to do (if anything).

When I bought my bike (or actually, when I ordered it, before it came), my brother told me that one of the nice things about HD is the amount of add-ons and customization options. Sportsters especially.

So good luck, good riding, and make sure to keep us posted!

I did notice that the oil gauge is pretty cheap plastic. I'm assuming that can be made to look nicer.

Congrats! Can't go wrong with Vivid Black on a 1200N (then again, I'm biased)

should pull off that sticker on the A/C cover - it comes right off and will look much better.
