Same here, I would be tempted allow for maybe 60 sec if not for leaving to work at 5 am and not wanting to rile the neighbors too much.

I'll start it, then put on my helmet and gloves and then go. I take it easy 1st mile or so.

Old biker trick that many have used for years is to just start the bike, feel the cylinders, and when they are "warm to the touch" head on down the road....

By doing this you don't have to 'time' how long to run the bike depending on outside temperatures..

Just wait until the cylinders start to warm up and go, and it doesn't matter if you are running a carb or efi, or have a Panhead, Shovel, EVO, TC or whatever...

Like the others have said, fire it up and by the time you get your glasses, helmet, etc. on its time to hit the road.

That wouldn't work for all of us....

I don't wear a helmet or special 'ride only gear', so for me to go from street ready to ride ready consists of just starting the bike.
