Powder Coat or Paint
#11
Pipes will get up there. Depends on lots of other factors but prob in the ballpark of around 6-900. My local PC shop does ceramic, 1 coat inside and 2 outside, and they SAY that drops exhaust temps by like 200-300 degrees. I bet that if you wanted they could do ceramic and then sand it down smooth and add a color on top of that. IDK worth a shot.
BTW My powder coater said 250 for the 2 coats of ceramic.

Any of you guys ever heard of duracoat?
Its a paint superior to that of both normal paints and powder coat.
Its primarily intended for weapons applications.
It stands up to abuse you wouldn't believe, and you can bake it on metal parts if desired to further strengthen it.
It can stand up to day in and out on a machine gun barrel that gets ridiculously hot, and not a bother.
Another cool thing is, its a two part paint, meaning you have to add the hardner into the paint when ready to apply.
Optimal mixture is 12-1 for shinny appearance, or a 14-1 for flats. You can go a bit more or less depending on what you are after.
You have to apply it like any other automotive paint, using an HPLV spray gun, and or an airbrush, which is what I use for covering my custom paintball markers I build for people around the world.
You can get amazing detail with it like any other paint in the right hands.
Check out some of the markers I have built and painted using duracoat.
And here is a link if any of you want to look into it.
