I was going to do a custom exhaust but quickly decided not to. Now I'm woundering if drag pipes would be a decent way to go..their cheap, I like they way they look, but don't know what they sound like and will I loose to much power and have to get new download?..what u guys think?

 

Drag pipes suck unless your drag racing.

 

these have full baffles in and are not too loud

my favorite sounding exhaust are rineharts. right now i have custom pipes with big city baffles and it sounds like heaven...

 

skip the drags....if you were to get them you will prolly need another download and that will not help with the power loss in the low and mid range it will just fix some drivability issues...maybe ?

open drags are for drag racing and going wot all the time, even with baffles they are nowhere as good as a good set of slip-ons imo.

 

how much did you pay for those big city's sideways?

 

i might be way off base here,but damn all i see any more on sportster are
SIDESHOTS or SHORTSHOTS and STRAIGHTSHOTS and you say drags with full baffles suck,well all above stuff looks like open headers to me ,but people will buy all kinda crazy ****? just my .03 carry on.

 

I like a couple of the big gun exhaust looked for awhile n couldnt seem to find one for an 08..do they make em?

 

But in the performance world they suck too. Those pipes are all about stroking the rider. Now duck in case they miss me with the rocks. lol

Unless you run WOT and tuned for WOT, its all about loud and show with no go.

 

If you lived next to me and had drag pipes, I'd personally come over everytime you started that rag and give you a piece of my mind.
Drag pipes make your bike run like crap, sound like crap and make the general public wonder how anyone can be such a self absorbed, selfish douche bag.
