Default Clutch adjustment

I have the service manual and everthing looks easy. While adjusting this is there any tricky parts? what else should i be looking out for? I've never adjusted a clutch like this so i'm just trying to get a few pointers.

strait forward like ya said, give all the slack in your cable, pull the derby, adjust, put it back on and take up the slack in the cable. also adjust your primary chain while your there or at least check it. and change yr primary fluid, if yr not gonna do that adjust while the bike is standing up and ya won't spill any fluid

Pretty easy. Just don't knock that quad ring gasket out of place when you remove the derby cover. Those can be a royal pain to get back in place!! And put some anti-sieze compound on the screws when you put everything back together.

That video is diff then the sportster.

Loossen jamnut on the cable to introduce a large amount of play in the clutch lever

Pull the derby cover, remove hex nut and spring..turn stud counter clockwise until you feel resistance then turn clock wise 1/4 turn.

I used vasoline on the gastget to hold it in place when i put it back together.

Tighten cable, and jamnut with 1/8 play in it.
