Default 68 sportster front end

I have a 68 sportster that has been setting up about 10 years. I put a battery in it cleaned the carb and it fired off. I was afraid to ride to far til I put some tires on it. It needs oil in the tubes on hydralic frontend not sure how to do this. Anybody know?

It has the older 35mm tubes, and if it were me I'd go ahead and change out the seals at the same time.

Hard to tell how old the seals are, but they could be up to 40 years old.

If you haven't messed with the front end on bikes before it might be best to take it to someone that has the right equipment and knowledge.

But if you want to do it yourself at least try and find a service manual that will walk you through the process.
