Mobile 1 Fully Synthetic 20W-50

Mobil-1 15W50 for me too. I ran Mobil-1 V-twin for about 15,000 miles, but cHarley and OFG convinced me that the Mobil-1 automotive was just as good. I get the 5 quart at Wally World for $23. Once I FINALLY got my local store to carry it.
57,000 miles, and no engine problems so far......except for leaking head gaskets.

One word of caution about the Mobil 1 15W50 if I remember right the "Advanced Formula" flavor of that they came out with not too far back changed the classification from SH to SJ or some such thing and lacks some of the anti-shearing agents of the older formula. (something I read in a bike rag somewhere...)
I've run Mobile 1 15 W 50 in my bikes since the early 90's and know that it outperforms dino oils and limits wear as the miles pile up. I used Bel Ray and changed religiously at 2500 miles in my 81 wing and at 110,000 miles it burned a quart every 2,000 miles. I ran Mobile 1 in my 83 Wing and changed it every 5,000 miles and after 204,000 miles I burned less than a quart every 5,000 miles. Same type engine same rider.
I tried Harley Syn 3 in my Sportster and went through more than a quart in 5,000 miles. So this time I went to Mobile 1 V-Twin and I'm a little under a quart at 4,400 miles this time plus I swear the engine was noticeably quieter with the Mobile 1.
I have toyed with the Rotella idea for the Sporty, If it came in higher viscosities I'd give it a shot.

Bad information is worse than no information.

Dude, you need to buy the service manual and if you already have bought it read it. There are only the two, 1: Motor oil, 2: gear, primary, clutch.
