Even then I have to do the work myself. Cant afford the stealers hourly labor rate on top of the parts price tag.

Let me ask you this...why the hell would you want to pay all that interest on a ecm, pipes, a/c, pegs, grips, etc.?

But it will run better and cooler with a remap or SERT.
I don't get why you guys don't do this from the get go and have it financed right into the bike loan, then it wouldn't be such a big deal.
Well thats just a dumb thing to assume...That we are all in dept and cant save up for what we want. I hope I can teach my kids better than the way some think.

The dealer that FORGOT to install my AC and PCIII told me it would be fine (at least for the time being) as long as it was just the pipes. It does run a lot better with the AC and especially the PCIII though. Well worth it if you can afford it (took me a year to get the setup)

You'll run just fine with the pipes but if you want to gain more power you need to change the AC and remap or a fuel managment of some type. If it were me I would go with the fuel managment. The dealers remap is going to leave it on the lean side due to the EPA.

Yeah, a buddy of mine has been running V&H pipes on his as well. The dealer told him the same thing; we went ahead and did it anyway. He's been riding his for 6 mos with just the pipes with no problems.

Now, is this just the slip-ons being changed out, or the entire exhaust changed?

They are tuned very lean off the lot, and in Virginia Beach, its been in the 90s a bunch already. I did mine with a fuel pack just to richen the mix. Runs much better now. Best of luck to ya, but it MAY run a little leaner after pipes..... May Not.. IDK
Just wait until the fuel pack install. Thats fun (2 HOURS)

I have a 09 1200c with the vance and hines straight shot slipons....no air cleaner or remap....it's a little lean I get some pops on decelaration but does not effect the overall performance of the bike.....I will be finishing off my stage on later this year and go with a remap and air cleaner
