Default how many miles on shocks

I know there are no dumb questions but how many miles can I expect from my shocks? I have 35,000 miles on my 05 883. I dont know if the shocks are bad or the roads just worse.

i dont think it goes by mileage... i restore old bikes for a living and i have 2 1974 cb750s one is rusted out one was stored well, similar shocks to these harleys, the rusted one is a little stiffer and sags, but the bikes have similar mileage

i think its more how the metal in the springs is treated and how it wears over time, loses its springyness.

im swapping my stock 13s for progresssive wound 15.5 off an 80 something cb750 and there in better shape than mine
