Default Paint is finally done, and the bike is back together!

For those of you who forgot, I have a 1983 IronHead Sporty that has been stripped down getting the tins painted and some other work done to the bike. It took about 9 months, but the painter finally gave it back to me and it's together and running. Here's some pics, lemme know what you think (it's really hard to photo this bike and get all the details, so this was the best I could do:

very nice, how about a close up of the front fender, especially the back side. I think I see some fiendish looking character....

"Law giver"? Maybe "law enforcer" would have been a better phrase coined on that tank. You surely don't think that you are the giver of laws do you?

Hehe, that was somthing the painter threw in. I have gotten the nickname "Dredd" at work (hence the screen name here) and if you watched the semi-horrible but somewhat-entertaining Stalone movie, the weapon Judge Dredd carried in it was the Lawgiver II, so I guess he was thinking the bike would be my weapon of choice kinda thing.........you remember the quote from that movie, right?

"Bringing law to the lawless......providing justice to those who have none."

Corny, but kinda cool I guess.

As far as specs on the bike, (because I forgot to put them in here) it's an '83 XLX 1000, stroked to a 1370, cams, heads are ported and flowed, a bunch of other internal stuff with an Edebrock carb, Dyna ignition, dragpipes, ect. Fun barhopper!

Amazing looking paint from what I can see... What exactly is the theme here? Tough to put it all together with all that glare (dirty it up a bit jeesh)! What is the deal on the 9 month wait?

love ironheads; can't wait to own one some day.

that paint is killer!! the pipes are cool, i think the seat works with the paint, not the biggest fan of the hypercharger.
