recommendations for new Nightster seat?
I've heard that the Nightster has an uncomfortable seat and I'm wondering who's changed theirs out. I'm looking for one that looks origional but won't kill my **** on longer trips. I've looked at this site http://www.ccseats.com/sportster2006.htm but not sure if the lo-pro would be too little padding, but I think it would look nice. If you've changed your seat out and like the one you have, please include pics and your thoughts on it. Thanks in advance.

what i would do....
if i were you i'd spend that money on your suspension. i hated the stocker as well but when i upgraded the suspension to progressive 412's (heavy duty's) it was like night and day. plus. i liked the way the stocker sat you lower than any other aftermarket i've seen for it. i then went ahead and had the seat tooled professionally by a guy in NJ (rmhcustomleather.com).

I left no gap but have a mustang fastback. I like the seat and the look a lot. No pics of it though.

Mustang Seat
The first thing I bought for my Sportster was a Mustang Seat. It looks a little Fat on there but I have 2 crushed discs and love my Mustang Seat. I rode from Nashville to Michigan 2 summers ago too. Maybe next I'll get a GEL seat cover to make it even more comfortable. I used my brother in law's gel gloves and they were sweet!!!

I just took the stock seat and shaved the foam back about two inches. It made it feel like a completely new seat, while keeping the stock look. No pain in my tailbone from a long ride, and I don't feel like i'm on top of the gas tank. Find a local seat guy and it shouldn't cost more then $150. Mine was more because I had a logo laser etched into the leather!
