Like everyone said Black is the New Chrome..I have suggested to the repairer of my bike that I had intended to do Black! Side covers & Belt guard..So they better get my Idea..I just sent email stating Black..They thought to put a Chrome L side Cover & do the Belt Guard with Chrome Cover..Mine is a XL883C 2005 & I still recon Black is the Way to go..It just looks the Part!

 

i was close to getting the olive denim bike. but i love black on a bike. u gots to have it murdered out!

With mine, I'm going to go all black. I just think they look better that way. I'm probably going to do my engine and covers black this winter.

well, i found a guy in Indy that does Black Chrome.
www.prokoteindy.com. Thanks to ecaldwell78 on this forum.
he led me to John @ Pro-kote. right here in Indy
He does Black Chrome and a zillion other things of that sort.
just got off the phone with him, and to satin black(to match black screamin eagle slip ons) my 3d flame heat shields from harley is about $35 give or take, each. to do the headlamp fairing in black chrome is also about $35 or so.
i am having it done next week. anyone want before and after picts?
