Default As I say every time I ride the sportster...

This thing rocks. It is so light and nimble, and has great pickup for such a small bike. I rode it over to meet my family for fathers day and I found myself wanting to keep on going. It is the wife's bike and she is rather particular about anyone else riding it but me, however I snuck it out today. It's an 05 883L and I put some new vance and hines sideshots on it for her b day in January. I forgot how much better it sounds than with the screaming eagles. Plus it is carbed so it has that rely Harley lope to it. Just unreal.

I always say I will ride at least once a week, but forget to as it is always under a cover. I am making a new pledge to ride this bike more often as it is jsut about to hit 10K miles after she has owned it ofr nearly 3 years. As long she doesn't know, it's all good.

I have always wanted a Sportster since about 1963, and still don't have one. Every time I here story like this I have the urge to just go buy one and get on with it.

for the record, the injected bikes still have that lope... harley spent a long time figuring out how to get it -
but back to your point... agree that it is a nimble bike that has nice power - cant imagine getting rid of mine

Always rode the big bikes before. My girlfriend has an '04 883 and I ride it quite a bit when I'm doing mods and such. Never knew the "little" bike could be so much fun.

A sportster being quick and nimble makes it a breeze navigating big city traffic.
