I hit pipes the first week I had mine out. In town haha. And I think kickstand on the left. Maybe peg. Don't remember as I've chenged those pegs out since.

Slayer dude, check your time setup. Mine says 7:26 so I think an hour different Time zone, he probably posted at like 6. Shouldn't be 7 hours off though.

I have never scrapped my pegs, damn kickstand scrapes alot though. Just be careful they can catch hold of the road, got friends who have gotten too close to the road and it is not a pretty sight.

dont take those off. when you scrape those things you're almost done. if you take them off and you scrape you ARE done. i found out what its like to run out of lean angle. witnesses use words like "miracle" and "angel on your shoulder". i'm lucky i can tell you about it because i was a split second from going off the side of a mountain.

the scrapers are early warnings. heed them!

if you want to ride that hard get a bike thats suited for it or start rebuilding the one you have. know your limitations and stay safe.

No need for the curb feelers. They weren't on the Sportster until 2007.

i'm jealous of you guys riding the Blue Ridge Parkway, I didn't ride when I lived near it in VA, but now that I do I think of riding that road all the time!!! The most beautiful area in the country IMO.

As for those feelers, in my 11 days with my bike I have hit my shin on them no less the 10 times!!! i'm taking them off.

The only way to truly take off the feelers is to continue scraping them down! I have forward controls on mine and still scrape them when I'm leaning on certain curves and grades.

I'm with certainteed on this one. When you are scraping, you are on the edge. one time past that edge and you will not have to worry bout it again. Harleys were not made to lean that far, sport bikes were. Think about this, what would happen if you were leaning that far into the turn and hit some gravel, or a wet spot. People do it on the tail of the dragon all of the time, and you also look at all of the memorials of the ones that did it just one too many times. all I am saying is know the risk you are taking.

1st time I scraped was peg and pipe together - during the MSF BRC test. The instructors were rather impressed by it.
