What sounds best to me might not sound best to you. It's an individual thing. Wait till you've had a chance to get to a rally or perhaps a HOG meeting and make it a point to listen to pipes and when you hear the one you like you have your answer.

 

Just got the SE II's on my '06 1200C- local dealer installed with air cleaner upgrade. Very impresssed so far- Massive improved sound from the factory pipes and I'm told increased power.

One question- what can I do with the factory pipes??? Lawnchairs, windchimes???

 

hd904: Save the OEM exhaust system. You might have to be putting it back on to pass a future mandatory EPA inspection. ...... BC

 

Check out the LSR 2-1 system from RB Racing. They are at the top of the list for performance and have a very unique sound.

Honest response: there is no "best" exhaust for an 883.

Folks will swear by this, that, and the third... no headway will be made

 

And I doubt anyone here has the money to do a comparison test of all of the pipes that are available. Basically what you get by asking the question is a popularity poll as everyone thinks their choice is the best.
