It's time to give it back to H-D. Don't rage on the service manager, even though he's in supposed to be in charge of his flock; just go in, speak calmly (with rage in your eyes - always helps) and tell them what they're going to do for you. Pissing off the wrong people won't get you anywhere, and just might make them load the deck against you. I'm sure by now that they know the problem, they just don't wanna pay for it. Tough Sh!te. It's a lemon. You know it, they know it. Tough that they have to give you another bike because of it, but that's the brakes. It happens. They may not like it, but they know it's coming back to them. Bringing a lawyer's card with you to that meeting won't hurt. Leave it with them, along with a smile.

Do not do this: It's time to change up the game.

And make 'em pay you back for your tows. Just ain't right...
+10! i'm so sorry to hear about your bike soup. this guy has the ticket thoug, calm, with rage in your eyes and they'll roll over like your buddie's dog. good luck and keep us all posted on your progress.

Default Oil Pump

I havn't posted this yet soup, but last month I was out riding on a country road and my engine oil light came on. Stopped to check the dip stick and it was full. Rode on a little and the started knocking which told me the engine wasn't getting any oil of course so I pulled it over again and ended up having it towed to the house. Dealer closed. Next day Progressive arranged for the bike to be towed to the dealer. Called the Sales Manager to let him know and Corporate Customer Service. Customer service was excellent. Took three weeks but I got a new engine in my 09 1200L. The dealer also said there was no engine damage and nothing wrong with the oil pump although it did quit working when it was in the bike. Something wrong with the damn oil pumps? The Indy. I go to told me a story about a guy he knew with problems like yours with his Buell and the dealer put a new engine it juat last week.
