Congrats on the bike. I would check the oil thing a couple of times, but a little residual oil and slight smoke/smell are normal for an engine in the first 50 miles or so. You can adjust the height/angle of the shift lever for more comfort until you get forwards put on. And I am pretty sure all stock harley seats are like sitting on 2x4's, it is their first chance to get more of your money.

Motordum: not really having trouble with it, perhaps since it is new, it is a tight fit...
