Question Screamin Eagle buckshot exhaust shield

Does anybody have them? What are your thoughts and can you see the discoloration from the exhaust pipe through the holes? Pictures would be great if you have them.

yes you can see discolorization between the holes. I like em but for the price and what you get I wished I would of powdercoated the stockers.Screamin Eagle buckshot exhaust shield-buck-001.jpg

Thanks devil dog, that's exactly what I wanted to know. The blueing isn't too bad, at least I don't think so. I guess I should have asked about this before I jumped in and ordered a pair of them. Good thing they don't look too bad.

Any chance wrapping them with some Exhaust or Thermo wrap? Never wrapped pipes myself so not sure of how much it adds to the headers so that the heat shield clamps still work.

I was thinking about heat wraping the exhaust pipe but I decided not to. I didn't do it because I didn't really want it to fade (I know it's an easy fix, just paint it again) but I would rather put the shields on and not worry about it. If I decide I don't like it I'll either wrap them or do like the Tick said and have the origional shields powdercoated black. Then I'd probably sell the buckshots for cheap. But we'll see what happens.
