Default nightster/iron exhaust pics and review..

OK guys and gals, I've been thinking of putting exhaust and a stage 1 on my bike but just can't decide what exhaust to do. So here's what I need from you.......
A picture of your exhaust and a comment of what type it is and how you like the sound. I'll start it off

Stock exhaust, customized heat shields by myself. Thinking about drilling out the baffles until I make my exhaust choice. Not a big fan that I can't hear my own exhaust when riding with other bikes.

Thumbs up

I have Vance and Hines short shots on my scoot. I ride regularly with a guy on a Road King with a Screaming Eagle system and another buddy on a Victory King Pin with an Arlen Ness system. My bike can definitely rival theirs with the nice low gurgle on the idle and the beast really screams when I get on it. I actually got the pipes more for the look but definitely would not complain about the sound and the increased performance (I did do a full stage I upgrade).

My lady's 09 Nightster has V&H Sideshots. Heavy breather. Very nice sound. Chamber help keep the low end nice. She's still learning to ride so not a lot of miles yet. TTS tuner. Sounds great. Heck of a first bike!

Even though alot of people have them, its for a reason. I think the perfect balance of looks, price, sound, and performance have to go to v&h shortshots. took out the stock baffles on mine and installed some BCT's and they sound vicious.

Did the BCT's make the sound 'Deeper' or just louder. I currently have the QB in and they were fine when new, but of late they seem a bit loud again ?

TIA, WD
