Yeah I definatly rather get something custom but then I worry about being to loud and if I could get baffles with a custom exhaust. I also want something that I'd be able to have my passenger pegs and mid controls on but I don't want the pipes going low cuz I take my turns sharp and already scrap the stock pipes when I turn. I'd be pissed if I scrapped new pipes.

I wish I had the material and skills to do it myself

Screw it! I bought the pipes. I'll weld up my own some other day after I get good at it.

The dude that advised to use a set of Rush Slip ons has the right idea, you can get them in black to match your head pipes and you can also get the proper size baffle so they won't detract from your performance instead of enhance it.
I don't know what your bottom line motivation is but if it's sound you should go to the Rush WEB sight and listen to there mufflers they have a great deep sound that makes the bike really sound like a Harley, where as (not to **** anyone off) the V&H pipes are considerable tinnier sounding.
If it's looks alone you are going for like so many these days then the V&H pipe will probably be your winner.

These may be my new favorite pipes, do they come in black or would you just have to get them powdercoated?
