Default EFI Problem, I think.

So my buddy just called 5 minutes ago and says his bike,(07' 883), wont hit a lick. Well, he says it will turn over, but wont fire. He also says he can pour fuel inside the throttle body and it will start up but immediatly cut out. My very limited knowledge is only with carburetors, so I'm turning to you guys for yet again another piece of great information. Any help will be appreciated.

tell him to listen and see if he can hear the fuel pump kicking on. It does sound like a fuel pump issue. even if it is kicking on it needs alot of pressure to start. The only people with a tester to find out will be an Indy or stealer. sorry
