Alright all, newbie to all things customization here.

Just ordered my 09 Nightster, I'll get it in late August when I get back from Iraq and I've been looking around for ideas and inspiration on where to chop, what to add, powdercoat, etc. I've already ordered my drag bars, everything for my speedo relocation and am still debating on the cost difference between sideshots and short shots from V&H... the one thing I keep seeing done that I freakin' love is the tank lift. Problem is it seem so simple to do I haven't found a guide and either I'm just too tired or ignorant to figure it out without the bike in front of me. My plan is to have all my goodies ready and waiting for me when I get the bike home so that she'll be ready asap.

Anyone wanna help a newbie out with any tips on how to do a 2" lift on the tank?
